Our water connection team is looking for motivated Supervisor to join the team! The work involved is ensuring timely and effective delivery of water meter and fire main installations across the Auckland Region.

A good understanding of everything related to potable Water and an understanding of the Watercare Standards is crucial. So If you're looking to work with a team that feels like family and where no two days are the same then look no further! To top it all off the Water Reform is now in motion and the Water industry is growing at an unprecedented rate.

This is an opportunity that will provide you with the skills to run your own crews and resources effectively to ensure a strong foot in the door for this upcoming reform and future work on our Contract.

What you’ll be doing

No two days will be the same in this position, with leadership, excellent communication, planning and organisational skills being the key to success.

You will be a team builder who has an eye for detail and the ability to think on the spot to resolve operational issues as they occur.

One of your key strengths will be the ability to make things happen! You will be responsible for :

  • Client & Customer liaison
  • Providing leadership and mentoring of junior staff members
  • Leading your team to ensure installations are being done with safely and to the Standards
  • Regular reporting to ensure visibility of key activities, deadlines, and progress against plans
  • Site health, safety and compliance
  • Commercial and financial management and future planning and growth of our department
  • What you’ll bring to the table

  • Proven leadership capability
  • Good knowledge of project methodology
  • Machine operating experience and licences (preferred)
  • Experience in managing staff and equipment
  • A professional communication style
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure
