    This vacancy is for Home and Community in Rotorua where we are recruiting for one permanent part-time position with rostered shifts Monday to Friday after School also every second weekend (approx 15 first week and 25hrs second week).

    We do need some flexibility as this can change at times.

    What does a Support Worker do?

    Our support workers assist people who access our services to live as independently as possible, in their community. Support workers are part of a team who work set rostered shifts supporting people with community outings working towards goals of the persons choice and other aspects of daily living - enabling our clients to be as independent as possible.

    50 per hour, with the opportunity to progress once you have completed our fully funded NZQA training and qualifications.

    What are we looking for?

  • Experience supporting Children with Autism for a minimum of 3 years
  • Knowledge of physical and intellectual disabilities
  • A minimum of a level 2 qualification in Healthcare
  • Full licence, mileage will be paid for the use of staff vehicles to transport the person being supported
  • Live in Rotorua
