We are looking for someone to join our Wellington Pathways’ Brooklyn Respiteteam. You will be working in a double staffed crisis respite setting where youwill be supporting up to six people at one time.
Responsibilities include :
Supporting people regain their mental health and independence
Housekeeping to a high standard
Comprehensive note taking and handovers
Cooking healthy inviting meals
Advocating for the people we support
Shifts Include : 16 hours per week, Friday and Saturday. Alternatingmorning and afternoon shifts :
Week one : 7am 3.30pm
Week Two : 2.30pm 11pm
You will be reporting to the Team Coach and joining our Pathways WellingtonRespite Service teams - all with a common purpose to support peopleexperiencing mental illness.
We are interested tohear from people who have a caring nature and work in a recovery focused way. Be a people person, onewho enjoys engaging with folk, be able to cook, happy to undertake cleaning andpresenting house to high standard and have eye for detail.
You must hold a current full drivers’ licence
Hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one
Do you hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent, or are currently studying towards this qualification or a recognised equivalent?
Please note, all working on a respite service will require the above qualification.
You will have good verbal and written communication skills
You are reliable and have good time management skills.
