We are proud to service the Hibiscus Coast community withour Mitre 10 Whangaparaoa store and now have an opportunity for you,as a Team Member in our Checkouts and Customer facing Service department, tomake a difference in the local community.

The dutiesof this role :

  • Comply with register set-upand close-down procedures; Understand the operation of the register and processall types of transactions and tenders including cash, eftpos, credit cards,gift vouchers;
  • Ensure every item isindividually scanned; Give correct change and cash out to enable accurate endof day balancing; Understand cash accounts, trades accounts and completestransactions accurately;
  • Process applicable loyalty card programmes andtransact to security requirements; Use scanning and register keys accuratelyand efficiently to maximise the speed of the transaction while ensuing accuracy;
  • Request change requests or cash clearances according to procedure; Beaccountable for register contents in case of balancing queries management;
  • Whenscanning ensure product scanned and screen description match correctly ; Processall refunds, exchanges and returns as per company policy;
  • Process faulty goodsfor repairs in line with company policy; Demonstrate a friendly and professional attitude towards customerswith payment related inquiries

  • 1-3 years’experience working in big box retail
  • Previouscash handling experience
  • Experienceworking in a high performing and busy environment
  • Highnumerical skills and attention to detail
