GHD is committed to supporting growth in our regions with a focus on the Waikato and Bay of Plenty. We are seeking a Technical Director - Planning to join our Tauranga or Waikato office .

You'll be joining our National Planning Team working with 30 planners across the country who are committed to delivering great outcomes for our clients and communities within New Zealand across all our offices, from the top of Te Ika a Maui to the bottom of Te Wai Pounamu.

The role :

  • Coaching and mentoring more junior planners across the Tauranga and Hamilton offices
  • Growing the planning market share, particularly in the Tauranga market
  • Providing review and Project Director-level support across the Tauranga and Hamilton offices
  • CRM role for clients in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty, including Bay of Plenty Regional Council
  • Strong technical leadership
  • About you :

  • Ability to expand and grow relationships and business in Planning and other sectors within the Bay of Plenty, Waikato and other outlying regions.
  • Strong business acumen to position for and secure Planning- led projects for existing and new GHD clients within the Bay of Plenty, Waikato and outlying regions.
  • Ability to mentor staff in a multi-disciplinary team environment and share skills and knowledge with staff and peers.
  • Strong leadership skills in the management and delivery of Planning projects.
  • Ability to lead and prepare proposals and bids for Planning projects and new clients.
