And right now, we’re looking for Learn to Swim Instructors for our Stanmore Bay Pool and Leisure Centre to help achieve that goal!This is a fantastic job where you don’t need any formal qualifications or experience just a passion to work with our diverse community and make a difference.

He kōrero mōu : About youIf you do have a recognised swim teacher qualification or previous experience as a swimming instructor, that’s great but if you don’t that’s fine too as we’ll provide all the training you need to do the job! You will need to complete your first aid certificate, have a love of water, a commitment to exceptional customer service and an ability to communicate well with adults and children.

Ngā āhuatanga kei a mātou : What we offerAs a Learn to Swim Instructor, you’ll enjoy free use facilities, flexible working hours and a fun working environment.

And to top it off, you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing the work you do is important, and you’ll enjoy the satisfaction of watching someone gain the confidence that comes from learning how to swim.

Part-time working minimum of 2 hours per week during term time and casual opportunities are available. Our Swim School is a seven day per week operation, therefore flexibility and commitment to working weekdays, weekends and rostered hours are paramount.

Auckland Council is committed to the protection and wellbeing of children. This role is classified as a Children's Worker role under the Vulnerable Children Act 2014.
