Licensed Aircraft Engineer We started out in 1985 with just two aircraft and handful of enthusiastic people Now we have a team of over 60 000 and one of the largest fleets in the world Our cosmopolitan team is built by people from over 160 nations But wherever we re from there s one thing we all share a passion for travel Our airline connects people to new places experiences and cultures in 160 cities across six continents and our route network is growing all the time We have the only fleet of just A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft in the world and we ve won multiple awards for our on board experience We re looking for people from across the globe to join our team in a vast range of areas Be part of Emirates and help us to create the future of travel About the Role Carry out aircraft routine maintenance servicing tasks and defect rectification compliant to manufacturers local safety procedures 3 Ensure prompt attendance to all allocated aircraft arrival departures with the intent to maximize the opportunities during ground time and avoid operational delays disruptions Audit process and procedures to ensure the highest level of maintenance is achieved with the resources available Ensure prompt attendance to all allocated aircraft arrival departures with the intent to maximize the opportunities during ground time and avoid operational delays disruptions Ensure all offaircraft tasks are handled strictly IAW Company procedures and all the relevant paperwork is actioned in a way that provides full transparency to all involved Determine that any tooling equipment used is serviceable and appropriate for the task with use of specialized tooling where required Determine that any tooling equipment used is serviceable and appropriate for the task with use of specialized tooling where required Ensure troubleshooting follows laid down procedures and all tools used to ensure that fault rectification is carried out in the most expedient and cost effective manner Carry out any component changes as is necessary as part of the troubleshooting process and as directed This will include the ability to obtain and understand AMM IPC or other manufacturer vendor documentation required to carry out the task Ensure all activities performed and personnel responsible for are closely monitored to ensure the best possible application of safety rules and regulations are applied Participate and promote Emirates safety culture in an effort to minimize accidents and highlight deficiencies failures that can lead to such accidents whether for aircraft or hangar use through the effective use of reporting tools in support of the overall quality improvement process Establish effective updown rapport with Manager Senior Engineers and subordinates to maintain a seamless flow of information to highlight detect and address any scenarios events that might be disruptive to the operation including assuming duties and responsibilities of shift manager senior engineer shift whenever delegated by the section manager Ensure all relevant reports pertaining to issues of service delays incidents and accidents are completed in detail identifying all elements leading up to events providing all relevant information that will allow rectification of defects by concerned sections through shortterm maintenance planning Experience and Qualifications 7 years in an aviation maintenance environment certifying as a license holder or as an Aircraft Technician with an airline or Aircraft Maintenance Organisation Valid UAE GCAA Basic Maintenance Licence or EASA Part 66 Basic Maintenance Licence or ICAO equivalent Minimum of two aircraft type licenses which must be relevant to the Emirates fleet with appropriate approvals and at least one being B777 or A380 Fully conversant with Air Legislation and legal matters that relate to the safe and airworthy operation and maintenance of aircraft to international standards Experience in leading a team of mechanics technicians Have served an apprenticeship with an airline approved organisation or have received equivalent formal training Applicants must have the legal right to live and work unrestricted in New Zealand The Company will not provide assistance in obtaining a work visa The successful candidate must be available to be deployed anywhere throughout the EK operation including diversionary airfields to assist in the recovery process of an AOG The successful candidate must also be available for postings to other outstations to support the needs of EK operations To apply for the role click Apply for this job or visit the Emirates Group Careers website on and search with the job number 2000008V
