About the roleWe have an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, enthusiastic Insights Manager in our Category & Insights Team, based at our corporate office in Royal Oak, Auckland.

With an emphasis on the key areas of category, shopper and consumer insights, this role plays an essential part in driving profitability and growth by delivering local NZ insights that form an actionable basis for category, portfolio, innovation and brand strategy and plans.

Responsibilities will include : Liaising with internal business partners to understand research and insights requirements.

In line with Sanitarium’s overarching insights vision, delivering a rolling 18 month plan covering category, shopper and consumer knowledge gaps.

Co-ordinating the relationship and activities with data suppliers, ensuring high quality, insightful category and shopper reporting and analysis.

Providing fact based thought leadership by leveraging insightful analysis across multiple data and research sources to influence shopper and consumer behaviour culminating in profitable category growth for Sanitarium and its customers.

Managing Sanitarium’s brand tracking monitor for the NZ business partnering with brand teams to develop and deliver KPIs from brand tracking on brand health, consumer metrics and communications performance.

Partnering with external agencies to continually develop and manage Sanitarium’s online research community to conduct cost effective, quick turnaround research projects.

Partnering with key stakeholders across the business to initiate, design, scope, coordinate and manage research and analysis projects via a range of methodologies, using both internal resources & external research partners.

Your success in this role will be supported by your commercial acumen, your analytical mind-set, and your affinity for fact based, data driven insights.

  • You will further need to demonstrate : Ideally 7+ years proven ability in marketing, preferably FMCGProven experience in insights and / or brand managementExperience with managing consumer research projects;
  • incl qualitative and quantitativeProven appreciation and affinity for fact based, data driven insightsStrong Excel and PowerPoint skillsExperience in vendor or selling negotiationSound commercial acumenProven experience in process and project managementCompetency in the use of analytical software such as IRi / Nielsen, and experience with SPSS and / or Q software would be advantageous.
