What you will do
In this role you will be working within a service desk environment, allocating SAP authorisations and being responsible for providing first and second level SAP support to NZDF Personnel.
What we need
We are seeking a person with a strong customer centric approach as this will be key to your success in this role. SAP skills are highly desireable, but technical SAP skills can be taught, what we need is someone who can deliver solutions to our customers and do it in a way that enhances and positively contributes to the team and wider unit.
You will be working in a high tempo, high volume environment and working with a team who have a can do attitude and who are happy to roll up their sleeves and help out whenever needed.
Flexibility, adaptability, initiative and multitasking are key attributes needed for this role. You are calm, level headed and unflappable as you juggle multiple tasks with conflicting priorities.
Being keen to learn you will enjoy taking on challenges while being happy to share your existing knowledge with others. As an exceptional communicator you can easily liaise with a wide range of people from across the organisation.
Ideally you will bring financial / accounting or material management (inventory) experience, this will enable you to work on specific SAP modules.
Being able to eventually rotate through various other SAP modules will add to your skill base and your development.
Often, the work generated for the team can be seasonal which aligns with military personnel postings so on occasion flexibility with hours worked is needed.
Some domestic travel is also needed to attend training allowing you the opportunity to meet your customers from the different bases / camps.
Please note this is a fixed term role for 12 months.
Who we are
The Directorate of Supply Chain Management (DSCM) is responsible for the development and execution of strategies that improve the end-end Supply Chain performance for NZDF reporting through to DLC, including development of common strategies, service alignment and support processes to enhance NZDF Supply requirements through effective purchasing and procurement activity.
Within DSCM, the SAP User Support Group is responsible for controlling, managing and supporting the SAP application to ensure effective service outcomes and logistics support.
