Primarily providing social clubs across Auckland Phab is a well-known sector leader. The Peers programme was created in response to community need and continues to work in partnership with families and young people to provide a service that supports young people transitioning into adulthood.
Using strengths based approach, the PEERS programme supports young people to build meaningful lives within their communities and support greater physical, mental and social wellbeing, whilst having a whole lot of fun as we do it.
The management team has a wealth of sector knowledge and experience. Its a rare opportunity to work in this community development space.
We are looking forward to bring the right person on board.Qualifications & experienceProven track record working with a diverse groups of peopleCurrent First Aid (preferred)Current Drivers License (preferred)Computer LiteracyBackground in music or visual arts would be a benefitWork experience in youth or disability would be a benefitTasks & responsibilitiesDevelop programmes that build capacity in our young peopleSupport and encourage a collaborative approach to programme delivery that is accessible to all abilitiesAgree with young people on a term by term program, working from a co-design position which takes into account the input from programme members and whanau.
Build the membership of Peers where necessary (Youth)Encourage inclusion into the wider surrounding CommunityThere are two roles to fill.
One role is 7 hours (1 day) and the other role will be 13 hours (2 days). The 3 days available Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
