McKechnie Aluminium is a quality aluminium extruder with finishing and value added aspects of the business supplying the New Zealand, Australian and Pacific Islands markets.
We are locally owned and employ about 300 people.
We invite applications for a full-time, experienced quality assurance professional who can implement change within our organisation.
The key responsibilities of this role are :
Support and assist with customer-centric initiatives to improve overall customer service across the Company's business
Complete quality improvement related projects and investigations
Implement effective quality Root Cause Analysis processes and systems
Lead the implementation of lean manufacturing methodology
To be able to achieve these you must have the following experience and competencies :
Ability to implement change through an effective coaching style
Leadership skills to implement new quality related systems and processes across the organisation
Significant manufacturing and quality management experience including the successful implementation of lean principles in a complex / multi-faceted organisation
Significant experience in the implementation of root cause analysis and other continuous improvement tools
Excellent communication, analytical, problem solving and numeric skills
Auditing qualifications and experience with ISO quality systems
This is a challenging and varied role where you will need to positively influence people across the organisation in our pursuit of continuous improvement.
