With 100% of their product NZ grown, LeaderBrand grow and produce; pre-packaged salads, lettuce, broccoli, cabbage, squash, watermelons, sweetcorn, seed maize, asparagus and grapes.

The Pukekohe site grows Broccoli, Lettuce, and Salad Crops year round supplying directly to the customer and to their production facility in Gisborne.

The role reports into the GM of Farming based in Gisborne and sits within the LeaderBrand Farming Leadership team.

What does the role entail? The Farm Manager is responsible for (but not limited to) :

  • Managing all aspects of supply
  • The farm as a business unit
  • Farm production planning
  • Resource Management
  • Product delivery
  • Culture, positive work environment and health safety & compliance
  • What the ideal candidate looks like :

  • Strong leadership and people management is essential you know how to get the best out of your team
  • Experience in Vegetable Production / Agronomy (Brassica’s and Leafy greens)
  • Experience in operations management
  • Excellent communication and process / systems experience
  • Previous success with continuous improvement and use of technology
  • Financial reporting
