We are looking for a Social Worker to join our friendly and supportive social work team. We have a Clinical Career Pathway and support social workers with continued education, professional development, regular supervision and in service training.

This is a permanent full time position working 80 hours per fortnight (Monday to Friday).In this role you will be mainly working with whanau / caregivers, babies and children and other healthcare providers and support agencies around maternal and child health matters on the Paediatric and Maternity wards.

You also need to be comfortable providing cover to other inpatient areas as needed (including acute services medical, surgical and the emergency department, and the rehabilitation ward).

Prior knowledge of working in the health setting, or care and protection would be beneficial.

You will need to be a New Zealand Registered Social Worker with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC) to apply for this role.
