New Graduate Midwives Part-Time positions

Well, Puawai ArohaMaternity Unit, Hauora Tairāwhiti might just be the right place for you. We currentlyhave two fixed term new graduate midwifery positions available.
Thepositions are both 0.8FTEs on 12months fixed term contracts with the potentialof permanent employment if a position becomes available, normal recruitmentprocesses would apply.
If successful youwould be working in partnership with the women of Tairāwhiti and theirwhānau alongside their LMC's. We provide primary and secondary carewithin a collegiate and supportive environment.
We have one of the highestbirth rates per capita, with approximately 700 births per year in ourculturally rich region. Puawai Aroha Maternity Unit boasts a relaxedatmosphere with five birthing suites and eight ante / postnatal rooms whichare well resourced to provide high quality and safe care fromour friendly team.
These suites / rooms are situated together somidwives work across all areas of their scope of practice which would enableyou to enhance your practice whilst completing the Midwifery First Year in Practiceprogramme.
We also run an antenatal clinic catering for the needsof pregnant women referred to us for a consultation or transfer of carefrom the LMC to our secondary care services.
We currently have a team of 5obstetricians’ and a NNU which is attached to our maternity unit.We all work closely together so that we can improve our outcomes for mumsand babies and have strong organisational values ofWhakarangatira (to enrich), Awhi (to support), Kotahitanga (togetherness) andAroha (Compassion) and our kaupapa, our vision, is "Whāia te hauora i Rotoi te Kotahitanga - A Healthier Tairāwhiti by working together".
