The team you'll join.
This is a rotational role.
Our Risk division is responsible for setting, monitoring and managing the Bank's appetite for risk. At ASB more than 1.3 million customers trust us to protect their financial wellbeing and we rely on our Risk teams to ensure we have the right culture, strategy and framework in place to provide an unbeatable experience for customers.
In an increasingly complex environment, risk management is fast-becoming one of the most sought-after places to build a career within the banking world.
Credit Risk Management is responsible for managing the risk to the bank that comes from lending money, specifically the risk that customers are not willing or able to repay their loans.
The team helps the business set and monitor our risk appetite and optimise lending strategy (using insights, models and systems) within that appetite.
Data and analytics form a key part of our toolset.
Credit Risk will be a key focus for the Risk Analytics stream. This will involve working with the business to understand their objectives and applying a credit risk lens across their initiatives.
There will also be the opportunity to work with more specialised teams who develop models and maintain the systems that support the lending decisions we make.
