  • Our client is seeking 2 Transmission Line Mechanics to join their tight-knit team based in Rotorua.

    The role

    Maintaining an Electrical Transmission network, our client is experiencing sustained growth and is looking to add to their experienced and established teams.

    Seeking experienced and qualified Transmission Line Mechanics to apply their skills to the construction, maintenance, upgrade and repair, of the Transmission network across the wider bay of Plenty and south Waikato regions.

    With a variety of work on offer here will be some requirement for weekend and away work to resource a wide range of projects.

  • All aspects of transmission line maintenance from steel replacement, insulator / hardware replacement, pole structure replacements right through to stringing and new line builds.
  • Meet customer and regulatory requirements
  • Adhering to best practice
  • Maintain field paperwork, reports and inspection documentation
  • Compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements
  • Skills and experience

  • New Zealand Certificate in Electricity Supply, E1, E2, Qualification
  • EWRB and practicing licence (preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years' NZ Transmission experience (preferred)
  • Physically fit especially with regards to heavy lifting, stretching and climbing;
  • Transpower competencies highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Full NZ Class 1 Licence, Class 2 desirable
