Pact is currently looking for a permanent full time Community Support Worker to work in our mental health residential service in Invercargill.
The Role
Pact is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person to work alongside people recovering from mental illness. We are seeking an individual who will inspire, encourage, be a role model, plus have excellent interpersonal skills and a can do’ attitude.
We are looking for someone who is client-focused, easily adaptable to a dynamic environment, understanding, observant and non-judgemental.
Further you will need excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate resilience, integrity and professionalism.
Your role will include promoting the well-being of clients, maintaining a therapeutic environment and supporting clients to achieve independence.
Key Responsibilities
80 hours a fortnight
Thursday 4pm - mid night, Friday 3pm - 11pm,
Saturday, Sunday & Monday 8am-4pm
As we operate 24 / 7, hours of work will include day, evening, weekend and awake night shifts.
Desired Skills and Experience
Excellent communication and networking skills with the ability to build and sustain working relationships with our client, staff and external agencies is essential.
Previous professional experience in the mental health field is desirable.
A level 4 or other relevant qualification in mental health is also desirable but not essential. Otherwise, there is an expectation that you will be willing to start working towards obtaining a level 4 mental health qualification after your first year of employment.
