Our People and Culture team are looking for a Learning and Development Manager to join the existing team at a really exciting period where there’s lots of emphasis on learning throughout the organisation and a big appetite for leading edge learning to internal and external customers.

In this role, you’ll lead a talented and energetic team and will be accountable for developing and delivering strategic and operational blended learning and development initiatives whilst thriving in a role where effective stakeholder engagement and pace and flexibility will be essential.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Identify, develop and manage learning & development initiatives
  • Lead a team and be responsible for the delivery and management of initiatives across mandatory learning, induction, professional development, leadership development and learning systems
  • Development of the learning framework and strategy for internal and external customers
  • Work with the wider L&D team to develop the blended learning strategies
  • Evaluation and ROI of best practice learning solutions
  • Support the development of a learning culture at AIA NZ and ensure we’re continuously reviewing our own process and proceedings along with being proactive to ensure you’re well-
  • informed on best practice and industry endeavours

  • Work closely with the wider HR team to build successful partnerships across the business
  • Experience required :

    The successful person will be a natural leader who is passionate about learning and development and can provide value add on a daily basis.

    We are not just looking for a technical expert; this role will lead a team and ensure first class learning and development offerings for all of AIA NZ.

    Outgoing and personable, you will have a customer centric focus and a strategic approach to work and think outside the box.

  • Extensive experience and expertise in L&D and solid understanding of the end to end process (training needs analysis to evaluation of learning outcomes)
  • Effective communication with the ability
  • Ability to connect strongly with the business and manage multiple stakeholders exceptionally well
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to lead an engaged high performing team and harness the talents and ideas of others
  • Develop talent and grow leadership in the business
  • Understanding of different learning styles, adult learning and accelerated learning principles
  • Familiarity with Insurance and Finance is preferable
  • Change savvy
  • Proven ability to meet critical timeframes and deadlines and work collaboratively
