Senior SAP S4 Hana Functional Consultant - Sales & Distribution

We are working on one of New Zealand's biggest SAP S4 Hana and SAP Commerce Cloud implementations in the retail sector. We are looking for the right people to build our core capability to support the delivery of this solution with our chosen partners and transition to a BAU model.

This opportunity is for an experienced Senior SAP S4 Hana Functional Consultant with Sales & Distribution experience to join the team on a fixed term contract 17months.
Reporting to the Business Analyst Manager key responsibilities of the role are to :
Provide thought leadership in area of knowledge to minimise cost of ownership and optimise best use of SAP for the business
Support the change management processes related to the Solution, aligned with Best Practice’, and leveraging experience in similar business environments
Prepare position papers motivating improvement areas to address key business requirements and improve efficiencies
Ownership of the design, delivery, BAU handover and release of all Retail related features
Provide an integrated end-to-end view of the retail solution to support future initiatives and enhancements within the overall SAP solution
Monitor and support the BAU operational activities to identify themes and risks and to provide corrective actions for the longer term
Assist in ensuring IT service levels relating to SAP Solution are maintained and that they exceed performance objectives
Obtain training to stay up to date in the latest information and enhancements in this area to recognise opportunities for growth and enhancement
Leverage On-Demand’ SAP experts and internal SAP Technology Support Team Members to effectively incorporate modern technologies into the Mitre 10 Retail SAP solution
Providing expert advice to the SAP Support Team to resolve P1’s and P2’s to try meet business resolution time expectations
On call after hours
Your background will include :
Tertiary diploma in a technical or commercial discipline
Seen as an expert in Sales & Distribution in a SAP context
At least five (5) years of experience with SAP
A highly integrated knowledge of the SAP, with a detailed understanding of all the areas that relate to Sales & Distribution
Ability to work at all levels of the business and at a detailed operational level
Ability to develop a roadmap for Sales & Distribution to meet the business requirements
Extensive knowledge and experience in a retail business environment
Thorough understanding of retail processes and applications
Understanding of existing and emerging risks to applications
Experience in working with external vendors in the implementation of SAP
SAP certification
