The Head of Health, Safety & Wellbeing 2DHB leads a newly formed team and provides strategic direction to both HVDHB and CCDHB in establishing a new Health, Safety & Wellbeing management system that is fit for purpose.
This is a unique opportunity to lead and develop a new HSW function in a complex, ever changing environment.

The Head of HSW 2DHB position forms part of the wider and newly established 2DHB People & Culture business unit (directorate) which comprises the following functions :
The Head of HSW 2DHB is a member of the 2DHB People & Culture Leadership Team (P&C LT) and will act as part of a leadership collective which has prime responsibility for supporting the Director People & Culture 2DHB’s role of leading and managing the performance of the P&C business unit
Moū About you
You will be tertiary qualified and ICAM trained or similar, with a deep understanding and experience of leading HSW practices.
An appreciation of diversity and cultural competence will be second nature.
You will be an experienced and inclusive leader who knows how to develop and create high performing teams and can develop, deliver and implement HSW strategies, frameworks, policies and procedures in a complex operational environment.
You will possess a comprehensive understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and associated Regulations and ideally will have a solid understanding of the NZ health system and the DHB environment.
