About the role :
Based at the Porirua store we are seeking a motivated Assistant Retail Manager to be part of a retail management team within a Profit Centre (PC).
You will need to have a can-do attitude and LOVE to provide top-notch customer service. We are seeking a like-minded person to join our enthusiastic and highly- productive team!
Key responsibilities will include :
Being responsible for coaching and mentoring team members to meet and exceed targets
Being accountable for the profitability of the store / s within the PC
Ensuring administrative and audit processes are followed
Having proven skills associated with maintaining the integrity of inventory
Maintaining a safe environment for our people and customers through actively promoting "Safe Home Every Day" in everything we do
Skills and Experience :
To enable you to be successful in this role, you will bring :
Relevant experience, ideally in a big-box retail setting
Prior experience managing staff within the retail environment
Strong creative, strategic, organizational and sales skills
A high level of business acumen and excellent communication skills
The ability to work autonomously, be self-motivated, and work as a team player
Flexibility to work rostered shifts including weekends
