To help support this mission, we are looking for an experienced engineer or architect to work on-site with a customer in Auckland, New Zealand, helping them to successfully deploy Microsoft’s 4G and 5G technology.

The successful applicant will have deep existing experience of IMS and Voice over LTE technology and Microsoft’s existing IMS-based product set, and be prepared to spend a minimum of 12 months on-site in Auckland.

Responsibilities

Work alongside the existing Microsoft customer delivery and success teams at the customer

Help the customer diagnose and identify issues within their voice and data networks, including identifying problems with Microsoft and third-party components

Act as a conduit between the customer and internal Microsoft teams based in New Zealand and the UK to communicate status on, key technicalissues and challenges faced by the customer

Provide technical expertise and coordination in urgent resolution of critical issues

Evangelise on behalf of the customer internally within Microsoft and on behalf of Microsoft at the customer

As this role involves liaising with teams based in the UK, some early morning and late evening working will be required

At the completion of the project we would provide you with the opportunityto become partof Microsoft’s New Zealand Rhino engineering team, contributing your real-world knowledge of deploying our products

Qualifications

Mandatory qualifications

Extensive experience developing, deploying or supporting Microsoft’s Azure for Operators Rhino VoLTE TAS, Perimeta and Clearwater Core products

In-depth understanding of IMS and VoLTE networks

Excellent verbal and written communications skills, able to lead and drive technical conversations

Demonstrates customer obsession

Able to live and work in Auckland, New Zealand for a minimum of 12 months

Prepared to work early mornings and late evenings a minimum of twice a week

Maths, science or technology degree or equivalent experience

Preferred qualifications

Proven ability to interface directly with customers, leading to successful outcomes
