There are different opportunities for Psychologists in the Hamilton area. Based in our team hub, you will report to the Principal Psychologist and assist the team to achieve positive outcomes.
Embracing the scientist-practitioner framework, we provide specialist clinical services focused on assisting individuals who have offended to develop the awareness and skills to reduce re-
offending. Our team undertakes clinical assessments and treatment, provides supervision, advice, and training within Corrections and allied agencies, consults to the NZ Parole Board and the Courts, and participates in a range of service initiatives.
Our work across Corrections sites gives this role ongoing clinical and professional variety, and development opportunities.
The next 12 months will present our service with the opportunity to provide group based treatment and reintegration to young offenders (18-
27) in a newly developed intervention. The programme incorporates therapeutic (cognitive self-change and AoD treatment) and reintegrative components .

Within the Hamilton area there is also the opportunity to work as part of the Tai Aroha Programme. This is an intensive therapeutic programme working in the Hamilton community predominantly for men of all cultures.

The position is salaried from $71,707 to $110,448 depending on the experience and competency level of the successful applicants.
