The NZ Familial Gastrointestinal Cancer Service (NZFGCS) is a Ministry of Health funded national service with offices in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
Our multidisciplinary clinical team of Family History Assessors, Gastroenterologists and Colorectal Surgeons identify, assess and manage people with familial gastrointestinal (GI) cancer syndromes.
The team also provides education, information and support to families, including medical management advice and a colonoscopy surveillance referral programme.
We are seeking expressions of interest for a Family History Assessor based in our Auckland office.
This is an advanced practice role and includes on-going follow-up and clinical oversight of high risk individuals and families.
You will :
This role requires a clinically-based health degree (or equivalent) with significant clinical experience working with patients and a genuine interest in supporting families with inherited cancer syndromes.
You will need to be comfortable working with clinical data. A staged training programme is able to be offered.
We also welcome more experienced applicants who hold a clinical Master’s degree in a relevant area
