About the Role

THIS ROLE CAN BE BASED ANYWHERE IN NEW ZEALAND OR AUSTRALIA

Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, your role will be to provide support in the product innovation, development and marketing initiatives relating to our ERP Solution which provides quality outcomes to Datacom's Local Government customers throughout Australia and New Zealand.

The role requires constant close and collaborative interaction with the product development team and will be focused on the Property & Rating modules of our Datascape ERP solution.

This is a brand new solution and will be a very different challenge to those who have worked on established systems. A real feather in the cap for those looking to expand their knowledge and help bring an enterprise solution like ours, to market.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience working in Agile and Lean methodologies and User Centred Design
  • Strong knowledge and experience in the product development process and product lifecycle management.
  • Strong coordination skills. Experience leading team meetings and ensuring a continuous delivery of the product features
  • Prevents erroneous decisions to avoid critical delay in schedules and / or unit operations that may jeopardise overall business activities.
  • Proven negotiation and collaboration skills with the aptitude to ensure win / win situations for all parties.
  • Ability to turn technical complexity into customer speak
  • A willingness to engage with the wider Product team to suggest and drive improvements to processes and culture.
  • A background in Local Government and particularly in Property & Rating or Water Management is favoured but not essential
  • Responsibilities

  • Work with the Senior Product Manager and the wider Product Management team to support delivering their roadmaps
  • Follow our competitors and the Local Government industry, understand the market and contribute Product ideas seeking opportunities for differentiation.
  • Gather product requirements and align them with business goals
  • Assess value, develop use cases, and prioritize features, epics, stories and themes to ensure work is aligned with product strategy.
  • Report bugs and errors to the development team and aid in their successful resolution.
  • Work closely with Customers and Local Government legislative bodies to maintain current knowledge of, and expertise in, the LG industry to guide the design and delivery of Datascape
  • Follow a customer-centric approach by supporting end-to-end product design through discovery, framing, iterative development and delivery
  • Ensure risks and issues are understood and managed effectively.
  • Ensure solutions are templated to enable a workable repeatable outcome for Datacom's customers.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, marketing, and sales teams on the development, QA, and release of products and balance of resources to ensure success for the entire organization
  • Assist with the build of Training material and other associated corporate documentation to support the deployment of the Solution
