  • About the opportunity;
  • Working as a Registered Health Professional in a prison setting, your role will focus on supporting people in the prison by providing mental health assessment, brief intervention and assistance / advice with referrals to other agencies.

    You will work closely with the corrections staff providing expertise and knowledge to them in the workplace.

  • In order to be considered for this role, it is essential that you meet the following requirements :

  • Registered with a Professional Body covered by HPCA 2003 Act - RN, OT, Clinical Psychologist / Psychologist or Registered Social Worker
  • Hold a current APC
  • Demonstrate knowledge and ability to undertake a comprehensive mental health assessment and provide appropriate brief interventions i.e. talking therapies
  • Mental Health experience working with individuals presenting with a variety of mental health needs.
  • Have a "can do" attitude and a personality to match.
