Job Description :
We have an immediate vacancy for an experienced Project Controller who will work closely with our Project Managers, Leadership team, and NZ Finance leader to assist them in the managing and driving governance of projects.
Specific Areas of Responsibility include :
As the Project Controller you will play a vital role in financial management of a portfolio of small to medium sized projects.
You will have the opportunity to improve the systems, reports and financial controls.
Your role will require you to :
Support our Project Managers with cost control, planning, forecasting, report production, cash flow maintenance & change management in a timely fashion and in accordance with relevant standards and contractual requirements.
Balance supporting PMs as well as challenging them.
Collaborate with multiple stakeholders PMs, our Leadership team, Finance, Admin teams.
Understand the project lifecycle on key projects and ensure PMs / management are implementing actions to either mitigate risks or leverage opportunities.
This can be around contracts, schedule, labour management, 3rd party suppliers.
Improve project controls and governance processes.
Develop and maintain the overall forecasting for projects ranging in size and complexity
Monitor a portfolio of small to medium sized projects
Perform and improve end-of-month project accounting procedures, and related analysis & reporting.
Work with the company’s financial and project management systems and processes.
Desirable Qualifications or Experience :
Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders PMs, our Leadership team, Finance, Admin teams.
5+ years' experience working on varying sizes of projects. Ideally a portfolio of projects.
Pronto experience (Desirable, not mandatory)
Understanding of project governance fundamentals
Strong desire and demonstrable experience on improving governance, processes and inefficiencies.
Analytical and problem-solving skills including - analyzing data and information and reporting results, advanced Excel skills.
