A great opportunity has arisen for a newly created BDM role to support the acquisition of new business in the commercial tyres channel for a market leading brand.
Bridgestone New Zealand Ltd is part of the global Bridgestone Corporation, the world's largest tyre and rubber Company. The Company operates both Bridgestone and Firestone branded stores.
Reporting to the Commercial Regional Manager, this newly created role focuses on expanding our customer base and increasing commercial and truck tyre sales across the Northland, Auckland and Waikato regions.
You will assist both commercial sales staff and Bridgestone outlets to maximise their sales and profitability while providing vital promotional and technical assistance to the business when necessary.
Critical to the success of the role will be the ability to identify and acquire new business in accordance with budget while successfully transitioning accounts across to the commercial sales team.
Candidates will possess a sound knowledge of the tyre industry and ideally have a background in TBR, earthmover, agricultural tyres as well as industrial products.
An exceptional track record in a sales related position is needed. Applicants should convey the interpersonal maturity and business acumen required for dealing with corporate clients as well as relate professionally to people in the field.
This position requires a team player who can exercise sound judgement and astute problem solving while partnering with clients to build their business.
Planning, analytical, reporting, organisational and leadership skills are essential, along with a proficient knowledge of Excel and Word.
