About the opportunity:
We are currently seeking a Group Human Resources, Health and Safety Lead. Reporting to the CEO you will provide hands on leadership in Human Resources, Recruitment and Retention, Training and Development, Wellbeing, Health, Safety, Quality and Compliance to the whole of Hall's. This role is pivotal in driving the company culture and values throughout the business. This role will see you truly partner with the business, getting alongside key stakeholders and working through all aspects of HR and Health and Safety from the ground up.
As a valued member of the business, you will come up with ideas and solutions, working on both strategic and operational matters. The role has a wide breadth, driving HR & H&S technology, processes, business culture and employee satisfaction. There is a significant change management aspect to this role. This is a great role for someone who wants a challenge, where you can really make a visible difference in both a strategic and operational capacity.
This role requires a special person who can think outside the box, influence and manage key relationships and have energy and resilience to drive through to results. When a problem arises, you have the nous to drive discussion at a senior level and move the business towards a new way of thinking. Not only will you shape and facilitate solutions you are also a key contributor to implementing that change. The work you do will ensure best practice is used throughout the organisation.
You will be a seasoned professional with a solid Human Resources and Health and Safety background. You will have experience as a senior managerial professional in a blue collar company comfortable with employee relations and MPI requirements. You will have a track record of managing projects end to end and be passionate and energetic in your approach. You will have high resilience, as this is a business who wants to reach new goals. Getting people to come on the journey requires lots of influencing and coaching.
Ideally you will be based in Auckland where your key stakeholders are centred, however there is potential to be based in Christchurch.
