Wellington City Council is looking for a qualified or entry level plumber to apply their skills for the smooth running of our city.
The position is within our Building Compliance and Consent team whose primary function is to make sure that buildings within Wellington are safe.
This is done through the processing and issuing of building consents, undertaking inspections, management of the Building Warrant of Fitness regime and responding to compliance matters.
As an Inspections Plumbing Officer, you will primarily be responsible for carrying out plumbing inspections, and to undertake investigation of complaints according to legislation requirements.
There will also be opportunities to carry out work outside of the Wellington City Council area. You will be someone with a positive attitude and energy with an ability to work in a fast paced team environment where support and camaraderie is paramount.
Our ideal candidate will be a good communicator both in oral and written comms, great team player with well-developed problem solving abilities and excellent customer service ethics.
You must hold applicable certifying licences.
