What you will do
The purpose of this role is to produce and manage publications and amendments sponsored by the Director of Operating Airworthiness (Ohakea) (DOA (OH)) and the Commanding Officer Flying Training Wing (CO FTW) in accordance with RNZAF and Defence publications standards and procedures.
You will be responsible for the preparation of documentation including editing, formatting, graphics manipulation, proof-
reading and quality assessment checks, to a print ready status and / or for dissemination via the web.
The position is also responsible for the production and distribution of hard copies for new and foreign source publications and amendments administered by ODC OH.
Duties also include publications records management in SAP and the maintenance of a library of master copies for operational publications.
What we need
You will have extensive experience in creating, editing and management of publications and documents. You will be responsible for delegating tasks and duties to the team you supervise.
The management and development of your team is also a priority so team management / supervising experience is a requirement.
Advanced level of computer skills is required including being computer savvy in Adobe Suite and Quick Silver desktop publication suite.
You will possess excellent interpersonal and time management skills, proven ability to work independently using sound judgement and initiative, have the accuracy and attention to detail required and be self-motivated.
Who we are
The RNZAF Ohakea ADC Unit is responsible for the management and control of technical and operational publications used by Force Elements operating at Ohakea.
Additionally it is responsible for amendments to the 5 publications which Aircraft Maintenance Planning Unit (AMPU) control.
It is also responsible for all draughting services required by way of publication illustrations, modification drawings or manufacturing drawings.
