About the role

We are looking for highly motivated Registered Nurses with an interest in endoscopy and preassessment work to fill current vacancies within the Gastroenterology department, as well as further opportunities arising with the introduction of the National Bowel Screening Programme.

Experience in this area helpful but not essential.

Ideally you will need to be a registered nurse who has experience working in gastroenterology or you may have strong medical, surgical or theatre experience and are looking to take the next step in your career.

    Our gastroenterology department provides regional and tertiary services for most aspects of gastroenterology. There is a strong nursing focus on endoscopy and interventional procedures for both adults and, periodically, children in inpatient and outpatient services.

    Our team of registered nurses perform preassessments, provide advice when preparing patients for examinations, and assist with endoscopy procedures and patients recovering from sedation.

    We can offer new team member s options to expand their skills set and grow in their career. And offer the opportunity to work across our two main sites, Kenepuru and Wellington.
