    Construction & Innovation - The Construction and Innovation Group supports Kāinga Ora to grow its public and supported housing portfolio through the design and development of high quality homes that meet the needs of the community now and in the future, and by driving innovation across the construction sector.

    The Manager Consultant / Supplier Relationships is responsible for building and managing external partnerships with our key consultant and supplier partnerships (Suppliers are defined as key strategic material / construction system providers).

    The Manager is also responsible for an effective alignment of internal stakeholders including GM Construction & Innovation, Construction & Innovation Programme and Development Directors along with Construction & Innovation Business Partners.

    Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bring

  • Experience working in a multi-faceted and demanding environment
  • A tertiary qualification together with extensive demonstrated experience in supplier and stakeholder management
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically
  • Good understanding of market development and segmentation strategies, together with in-depth knowledge of consultancy services and suppliers in the marketplace
  • Demonstrated problem solving, decision making, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering good stakeholder relationships through consultation and partnership
  • The behavioural characteristics and skills required to work in a matrixed environment
  • Interest in public sector structure, governance, processes and systems
  • Experience navigating and operating in a regulated environment, experience working constructively across functions and track record of building and maintaining the trust of all stakeholders
  • Understanding of partnership obligations under the Treaty of Waitangi.
