We have a great opportunity for an Improvement Specialist / Analyst to join our team.

This is a great opportunity in the Hamilton market to join a large (70 - 80+) Supply Chain function that supports the delivery of health services for our community within a 24 / 7 environment.

You will be joining the organisation at an exciting period of change, which provides the ideal candidate with the opportunity to directly contribute to our transformation agenda, this will provide you with the opportunity to engage with the team to deliver services that have a direct impact on clinical care and the clinical services delivered to our patients.

In such a large organisation, change and improvement is continuous. In this role, your focus will be to work with your colleagues to identify, develop and implement process improvement efforts across supply chain functions.

Using sound process improvement disciplines and practices, that results in simplification of process, reduction of waste and financial return for the DHB.

In this role you will need to have well developed influencing skills as you gain buy-in from decision makers for the successful application of performance excellence and improvement.

Actively leading projects you will support and advise key players to identify, plan and implement quality improvements that reduce cost, increase productivity and improve cycle time by reducing wasted time, scrap, rework resulting in significant business improvement and customer satisfaction.

This pivotal role reports to the Director Supply Chain and has direct engagement with the wider organisation. This is a challenging role requiring an improvement professional, comfortable taking a championing and leading change improvements.

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in business administration, finance or supply chain
  • Qualification or experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Agile or similar
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally at all levels
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data
  • A track record of successful implementation
