Deer Stock Manager Mararoa Station Why Mararoa? Mararoa Station is a 5,500ha property with 4,600ha effective with a mix of cultivated pasture and over sown tussock running 39,500su.
Our breeding stock includes 14,000 ewes, 1,050 Angus beef cows, 4,300 Hinds and their replacements.We have a strong focus on feeding animals to reach their potential and to fit our markets with a large proportion of progeny are finished on the Station.
We have a high performing inclusive team of 8 where all people are valued and have regular rostered time off (weekends) organised and set as a group.
There are an abundant of recreational activities close by in Fiordland and Te Anau township 25 minutes’ drive away, as well as on farm Hunting and Fishing!We will offer a modern, warm 3-bedroom home with firewood supplied and a 4WD truck as your work vehicle.

The Opportunity ·As an enthusiastic and passionate individual, you will be responsible for managing a breeding herd of 4,300 hinds and finishing 2,400 weaners, working closely with the Farm Manager to ensure overall planning and farming operations are carried out effectively also meeting the desired production and profitability targets.
What you will bring ·Proven deer handling experience.·Passion and enthusiasm about all things stock management, including excellent attention to detail for updating and maintaining records.
