Summary

Reporting to the New Zealand Sales Manager Sports Medicine, the Territory Manager will be responsible and accountable for driving business growth within the Waikato territory.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop and plan sales budget and strategy in conjunction with line manager
  • Ensure the execution and reporting of sales and marketing activities in territory
  • Develop and maintain strong customer advocates for Smith & Nephew Sports Medicine portfolios in the assigned territory
  • Influence, coach and support the clinical support members in providing exceptional case support and training
  • Ensure the appropriate execution of the shared calendar, territory management plans, consignment agreements, tenders / pricing requests, special pricing and customer profiles / preferences
  • Education

  • Tertiary qualifications in Science or Business related disciplines
  • Experience

  • Proven success track record in Sports Medicine / Orthopaedics sales and / or clinical support
  • Experienced device reps with a competitive sporting background will be highly regarded
  • Technical Knowledge & Competencies

  • Strong selling skills with a drive for results
  • Strong understanding of Sports Medicine products and industry, desirable
  • Good understanding of the New Zealand public and private healthcare system
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office
  • Ability to interpret financial and clinical data
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Highly focused on exceeding customer expectations
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to establish and foster long-term relationships with internal and external customers
