Job Description

Life and medical insurancesFuel and retailer discountsWork for one of New Zealand's largest contractorsReporting into the Divisional Manager, we have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and hardworking person to join our team as an Asphalt Manufacturing Manager.

In this role you will have full responsibility for managing the production process from the manufacture of asphalt, as well as EZ Street cold asphalt and bitumen sales.

You’ll also promote our company values while meeting the primary objectives of Safety, Quality and Service. You will have a practical minded hands-on approach, coupled with an understanding of plant mechanical operation and asphalt mix properties.

Other responsibilities will include;Manage and develop staffMaintain strong customer relationships both internally and externallyContribute to financial reporting and planning Monitor industry trends and developments and recommend new techniques and methods of production and operationOversee and maintain the maintenance of the asphalt manufacturing plantManage department to meet or exceed budgeted turnover and profitability You will be a confident, enthusiastic problem-solver with a 'can-do' attitude that loves a challenge and works well under pressure while being passionate about producing a quality job on time and to budget.

To be successful in this role you will be someone who has : Experience in an Asphalt production or manufacturing environmentDemonstrated strong communication skills Have strong experience in subcontractor management Have preferably a BE or NZCE or significant industry experience Have extensive leadership experienceOperational management planning, resource allocation and coordinationFinancial management budgeting, cost-benefit analysis, reconciliation, reportingHold a current drivers licence, preferably class 2 (light / heavy vehicles)Relevant licence / qualification for various industry specific heavy equipment Fulton Hogan Philosophy We build and maintain critical infrastructure that connects and enhances communities across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.
