The Avionics Integration Technician installs avionics and mechanical components, wiring harnesses and high voltage batteries onto our Electron launch vehicle.
The integration team is made up of technicians with both avionics and mechanical experience, but the team works as one unit, and tasks are not allocated purely on the background of the technician.
A versatile skill set is required.Essential skills : Trade qualified in relevant industryMust be able to demonstrate 4+ years experience of relevant experiencePrecision avionic and mechanical assemblyComfortable with high precision crimping, soldering and harness termination tasksComfortable working to exacting standards, including cleanliness for oxygen serviceHave a sound understanding of standard industry ESD policyHave a good level of eyesight and be able to inspect assemblies to a high workmanship standardBe able to manufacture components to a high workmanship standardAs well as a being a career-defining role, working at Rocket Lab means being part of meaningful projects with world-leading experts.
