We are looking for an active and able team player to help support the NPDC animal control team by cleaning and maintaining the pound facilities and to assist with the care and welfare of impounded animals.
For this job, you’ll be a resilient, safety focused team member with experience working with animals. You will perform animal facility cleaning and maintenance involving the use of cleaning and disinfecting products.
You’ll also be happy working with technology and supporting our Animal Control Officers, vets and dog owners with any help they may need.
A clean, full driver’s license is required, and a firearms license is preferred but not essential.
This is a permanent part-time role (30 hours a week), you must be available to work a schedule that includes afternoon and weekend work.
This is an ideal role for someone looking to gain experience in Animal Control, with plenty of development opportunities available.
This is also an opportunity to showcase your customer service and communication skills, especially regarding conflict resolution and maintaining pound records for dog owners and the public.
