We are seeking a Cloud Engineer who is passionate and excited to learn new technologies and contribute meaningfully to our Cloud vision.

Responsibilities

  • Work within the Cloud Operations team responsible for maintaining the cloud-based infrastructure for the Aderant organization, including the Aderant SaaS offering Expert Sierra.
  • Ongoing monitoring of system health and performance
  • Patching and upgrading infrastructure elements
  • Creation of new server nodes as the infrastructure grows
  • Updating, creating, and troubleshooting automation scripts, functions, etc.
  • Work on support requests / tickets and coordinate effective communication throughout troubleshooting process up to resolution
  • Implement and maintain security for infrastructure and data
  • The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, is confident and decisive, works well under pressure, can juggle multiple priorities and has excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in management information systems, computer science, information technology or other technical area preferred.
  • Relevant experience or degree in progress will be accepted in lieu of degree.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to adjust to rapid changes in deadlines and priorities
  • Ability to balance multiple high priority projects
  • Experience in a technical support role in a production environment
  • Technical Certifications
  • Experience with monitoring software (preferably NetXMS)
  • Experience with any of the following is a plus :

  • Windows PowerShell scripting
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 (or greater) technologies
  • Active Directory
  • Group Policy
  • NTFS
  • Remote Desktop
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2012 R2 (or greater)
  • Experience with cloud platforms in production (preferably Amazon Web Services)
  • Knowledge and understanding of networking fundamentals

    You’ll be working in a product family, which is a close, cross functional team focused on a particular domain, for example the billing process.

    The team is a mix of engineers, business analysts, a product manager, and technical writer, who are tended to by a team lead.

    A prioritized backlog drives the goals of the team and work is carried out in small increments. The team owns the product delivery including test automation, performance optimization, reliability engineering, telemetry and customization support.
