The Communications Lead role sits within the Communications and Advocacy Directorate, which exists to inform, inspire and motivate supporters, campaigners and the public to understand global economic, gender and climate injustices, take part in fundraising and campaigning activities, and donate to Oxfam New Zealand.
The purpose of the Communications Lead is to create high-quality communications and multi-media materials to grow ONZ’s credibility, reputation and profile as a quality international development organisation that people wish to support and act with.
Our ideal candidate
You are an experienced communications professional who can deliver high-quality content for a range of audiences, from copy through to production.
You have a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience. You can communicate complex policy issues clearly and concisely, and craft engaging stories that compel people to act.
You have an eye for detail, and experience with digital and social media. You are highly organized, with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders.
You care about international development and global justice issues, and optimally have some knowledge about these issues, particularly in the Pacific region.
Media is an area you’ve had some work experience in. You are committed to building a world where everyone thrives, everywhere.

Based in central Auckland, the post is full-time, and attracts a starting salary of $63,727+ per annum (or potentially higher depending on your experience).
