  • We undertake strategic technology design, innovation design, and products & services design. The Service Designer is a key leader in these areas;
  • ensuring that people are at the centre of our services. We are currently seeking two Service Designers to join the Products & Services Design Team in the Ministry's Technology office.

    This is an influential leadership position in the team. Your experience, enthusiasm, initiative, ability to influence and deep understanding of design thinking will be critical to successful ICT delivery.

    Your day to day work will be varied and include : providing advice to stakeholders, leading workshops, facilitating design processes, collaborating on solution design, consulting into delivery teams, and championing design thinking at the Ministry.

  • You will be based at the Ministry of Justice National Office in central Wellington. This is a full-time position. Skills & Experience To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes : Substantial and demonstrable experience in service design, customer experience design and / or user experience design;
  • Experience working in an ICT environment; collaborating with, consulting too, and influencing ICT delivery teams; A willingness to learn and to help others learn;
  • The resilience to champion new ways of working; Be an influencer and a servant leader; and Be self-motivated, self-managing, and a self-
