Our electrical maintenance team is on a hunt for an Electrical / Power Technicianexperienced in High Voltage space to join them.
This role has the option to bebased either in Hamilton or Rotorua.
Reporting to the Senior Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible forproviding technical management and delivery of high voltage substation workssafely, positively, effectively and efficiently. You will also :
Provide ongoing technical support, scoping and planning for all works
Conduct inspections and perform preventative maintenance on strategic assets like protection relays and circuit breakers
Provide technical input and scoping requirements to assist with the estimation of maintenance and capital works

To secure this role, you’ll hold a current practising licence along with strongknowledge of relevant Codes of Practice, Policies, Standards, Work Procedures.You will also have :
Experience in high voltage zone substations and proven track record around testing protections devices, maintenance, inspection regime tasks
Demonstrated experience working on 11kV and above transformers, circuit breakers, DC battery systems and SCADA communication assets
A full and clean NZ class 1 driver’s licence
Ability to display initiate and willingness to be part of a team
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with basic technology knowledge
