Canterbury Agricultural Park Groundsman & Operations Co-ordinator

ABOUT THE CANTERBURY AGRICULTURAL & PASTORAL ASSOCIATION (CAPA)

The New Zealand Agricultural Show (formerly the Canterbury A&P Show) has been hosted in Christchurch for 158 years by the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association (CAPA), a registered not-for-profit charity promoting the agricultural sector in Canterbury while facilitating competitions and supporting local business.

It is a time traditionally "where the country comes to town."

The Association consists of around 2500 members governed by a General Committee and a Board of Directors. Community is at the heart of everything that we do, and the Show could not activate without the passion of approx. 500 volunteers.

With over 2000 competitions, 3000 competitors, and approx. 100,000 visitors, the Show is a highly anticipated and well-supported Canterbury event.

The Show's core is culture and community; it celebrates heritage, innovation, diversity, and people.
