The Controls team is critical to this by helping BNZ manage its risks associated with strategic objectives. We're improving our processes, risk and control environments by using automation, data analytics and real time assurance to ensure we're keeping our customers safe today and in the future.

About the role : Reporting to Head of Controls Centre of Excellence, you'll be a senior member of the team and will provide expertise in internal controls across multiple risk classes to assist BNZ's risk and control community in keeping our customers safe.

This includes : Delivering services to uplift control capability and drive risk and compliance maturity across BNZProviding world class control design across strategic initiatives and projectsChallenging current thinking, demonstrating new techniques and uplifting control capabilities, continuously improving controls across the businessSupport the Head of Controls Centre of Excellence to transform BNZ's controls environment for the future.

Contributes to the growth of the team by mentoring and coaching other team membersAbout you : As a senior risk and controls professional (5+ years experience), you'll have a highly developed understanding of control frameworks and assurance methodologies.

You'll have excellent communication and relationship management skills with proven experience coaching, sharing knowledge and uplifting controls capability across all levels of the business.

The ideal candidate for this role has excellent problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to challenge the status quo and deliver innovative improvements for our transformation journey towards effective real time assurance.
