Your Title : UX Architect
Job Location : Christchurch, New Zealand
Our Department : Agriculture
About The Agriculture Division
The Agriculture division builds precision farming systems, including displays and automated guidance systems for agricultural vehicles.
Farmers use our guidance systems to automatically steer their tractors with highly accurate GPS / GNSS-based control. Our display systems automatically control farm implements performing operations like planting seeds, spraying fertilizer, and measuring crop yield in an optimal way based on soil conditions and agronomist prescriptions.
Our Android displays send the farm data to our web-based farm and fleet management system Trimble Agriculture business software.
We save water, fuel, chemicals, and time and increase crop yields along the way.
As a UX Architect, you’ll collaborate closely with other UXers, engineers, and product teams to solve complex challenges and strive to create best-in-class solutions.
In addition, you’ll work to understand our customer’s needs, end-to-end workflows and improve them in a way that’s simple and intuitive.
You’ll be responsible for producing UX discovery artefacts, and helping conduct research that will map out the UX definition for our products.
Our User Experience team supports a variety of products, ranging from our in-cab displays that allow customers to control their equipment and complete tasks, to our mobile and web applications that enable them to manage their resources.
Our team is a small but growing group made up of multi-disciplinary practitioners that represent a mix of Designers and Researchers.
We also share and learn from other UXers across Trimble through meetups and various communications. We each look for opportunities to promote user-centered design thinking across the organization.
We care deeply about the people who use our products and strive to understand their needs. Our mission is to create simple, easy-to-use solutions that our customers love.
