The University of Auckland is going through significant transformational change in the way we work, with great opportunities to create and deliver innovative solutions to our staff and students.
We have multiple programmes of varied work that sit across our newly created Portfolios of; Research & Innovation, People & Culture, Enabling Environment, Education and Student Experience, Strategic Engagement, and Digital Services.
Currently we have Programme Change Managers who have oversight of an assigned Portfolio, and are involved in the delivery of projects, with the support of an appointed Change Manager.
We are now looking for a seasoned Senior Change Manager to join our team of programme managers where you will support the Research & Innovation (R&I) Portfolio.
R&I have a large delivery programme across Strategic (business growth) projects that will enable the University to build our research capabilities and identify and plan for both immediate and more longer-term opportunities.
As well as, Operational (enabling) projects that will provide the foundation and infrastructure to enhance service delivery to researchers and enable professional research teams to operate with more agility.
You will join our Business Transformation Office and you will have demonstratedexperience in managing multiple programmes and enjoy rolling up your sleeves to provide change management advice and expertise to programmes, projects, and function reviews.
This role is essential to ensure that change management delivery is scoped, impacts identified, and transitions planned for so that specific initiatives are delivered effectively.
It is crucial that this role considers the change connections, synergies, risks, and issues across and between programmes.
In this role, you will work closely with the Change Practice Manager, Business Sponsors and Owners, Programme Managers, and Human Resources, and act in a mentoring and advisory capacity within the change team.

The Change Management Practice was established over a decade ago within the Organisation Performance and Improvement (OPI) service division and is part of the Business Transformation Office (BTO).
We have matured and grown considerably over time and have built a reputation for the strength of its service offering.
We have delivered this through a team of experienced and credible practitioners providing quality change-management support and advice across the University.
The breadth of experience within the team spans facilitation, engagement, and the ability to coach and mentor others for good change outcomes.
As a team, we take a measured and considered approach to flexibility and operate a hybrid model of 3 days in the office and two days working remotely depending on the needs of our stakeholders.
