    Our ideal person

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Recruitment Specialist to join our People and Capability team. You will be providing end-to-end recruitment and selection advice and support to hiring managers across our organisation.

    This role is key to us using a diverse range of sourcing strategies and tools to attract people with the right set of experiences, skills and values to our organisation.

    We are looking for someone who is customer-centric, professional, self-motivated and has strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    You'll be able to prioritise effectively, have a big picture view on situations but also a handle on the detail. In addition to your personality and soft skills, you will bring the following knowledge and experience to the Recruitment Specialist's role :

  • Strong experience using a wide range of sourcing strategies and tools;
  • Solid or growing understanding of Te Ao Māori, Te Reo Māori and tikanga;
  • An appreciation of the New Zealand education sector, and the ECE sector;
  • Experienced working with multiple sites across a wide geographical area;
  • Strong experience working side-by-side with managers to meet their needs;
  • Personable, hard-working and flexible attitude;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Highly organised;
  • Strong MS office skills.
  • This is a people-centric role, so it goes without saying that relationships with all stakeholders, especially hiring managers and candidates, need to be of paramount priority to you.

    Support for our hiring managers, and a focus on a positive candidate experience needs to be your passion.

    With the knowledge that the quality of our candidates is integral to the success of AKA's strategic plan, the Recruitment Specialist will participate in positive and collaborative relationships with kindergarten and centre staff, engaging in cooperative, solution-focused interactions.
