Our dedicated and knowledgeable Finance Team are currently seeking an experienced Systems Accountant to provide assistance with the day to day accounting functions, project work, and process improvements, and be responsible for :

  • Managing systems configurations and workflows,
  • Assisting with the implementation of two new FMIS systems,
  • Designing and implementing internal system, preventative, and detective controls, in the finance and property systems,
  • Providing financial systems training and guidance, and creating training material and manuals,
  • Maintaining process maps, and suggesting improvements to current processes,
  • Collaboration with IT Staff and Vendors on system matters.
  • Apart from strong technical skills, we are seeking someone who is a people person and an excellent communicator who is capable of working with multiple key stakeholders.

    Someone who is passionate about what they do, and enjoy leading change and seeking a new challenge.

    This position will be offered on a permanent full-time basis of 80 hours per fortnight, located in Central Wellington.


  • Qualification with a recognised Accounting Professional body (CAANZ Chartered Accountant, Associate Chartered Accountant) desirable
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar Systems Accounting role within a large organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience with system integration design, implementation, and data management and migration.
  • Experience in process design and documentation.
  • Strong computer literacy including Advanced MS Excel skills, Intermediate or Advanced Access skills, and intermediate skills in all other MS Office applications.
  • Experience in working with accounting systems and processes.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, and also independently.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability and drive to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and strategic capability.
