The Senior Portfolio Performance Analyst supports the flow of digital value to NZDF by connecting decision makers and teams to high quality insights and information that help optimise flow in the value stream.

The Senior Portfolio Performance Analyst aggregates performance information, developing and delivering reports for stakeholders about the progress of Defence Digital Group in digitally enabling NZDF strategic outcomes.

This role works closely with the rest of the Digital Portfolio team to bring a modern, fit for purpose portfolio approach that supports product delivery, helping to connect the project and product realms through information, with a focus on ensuring the work that is valued most by NZDF business owners is delivered by Defence Digital to end users.

Ideally you will be based in Wellington, however you can work remotely and commit to travelling to central Wellington on a monthly basis.

We are seeking an experienced digital portfolio analyst with an agile mindset who is ready to step up to a senior role. Ideally, you will be familiar with the interface between projects and product teams and have worked in these environments.

As an analyst, you are comfortable working at a detailed level then aggregating and packaging this up to an executive level.

Equally important, you are ready for the many challenges and ambiguity that will come your way.

We would also like you to have :

  • Excellent listening and communication skills (written and oral), and confidence with presenting;
  • Highly developed literacy and numeracy skills;
  • An interest in people to support effective teamwork and stakeholder engagement, and an interest in leadership;
  • A genuine curiosity to support your growth journey and to understand our unique environment; and

    Several years’ experience in a role that aligns well with what we’ve outlined here.

    most preferably a NZ citizen who has resided continuously in this country for the last 10 years, OR

  • is a citizen of, and / or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last 10 years : either Australia, Canada, NZ, UK or the USA;
  • and has a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the NZSIS towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at a higher level.
